Stellar of the Seas Lan Ha Bay Cruise 3D2N — A Journey Into Quiet, Where the Bay Breaths for You
The Stellar of the Seas Lan Ha Bay Cruise 3D2N is not simply a cruise; it’s a three-day escape into Northern Vietnam’s most serene seascape, where emerald water, ancient limestone cliffs and village life on the water weave into one seamless story. From the first moment you leave Hanoi, the world begins to soften: city horns fade, rice fields roll by your window, and the road unwinds toward the island gateway of Tuan Chau.
At the marina, a sleek speedboat ushers you across the glittering surface of Halong Bay to your floating home—Stellar of the Seas, a contemporary four-deck boutique ship with just 22 suites. Inside, polished wood, marble bathrooms, a heated infinity pool, mini golf, spa, wine & cigar cellar and a panoramic bar create the feeling of a design hotel gently moving through water. Outside, the route turns away from the busy channels and slips quietly into Lan Ha Bay, a less-crowded extension of the UNESCO bay, where lagoons lie hidden between cliffs and fishermen still live on floating houses.
Across three days and two nights, you glide by kayak into jade-green lagoons, cycle through the jungle-framed roads of Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island, and drift on a bamboo boat through the echoing arches of Dark & Bright Cave. Each evening, you return to the glow of the pool and the soft clink of glasses at sunset, followed by fine-dining set menus and poolside BBQ feasts curated by professional chefs.
This cruise is ideal for honeymooners and couples, but also for families and Affluent Explorers planning a broader Vietnam tour or Grand Tour Vietnam — Epic North–Central–South and seeking a high-end, less-crowded bay experience that still feels intimate, sustainable, and deeply personal. With ViettrendTour, every transfer, cabin choice and extension—to Sapa, Ninh Binh or Ho Chi Minh City—is handled quietly in the background, so you can simply exhale and let the bay move around you.

FAQs — Stellar of the Seas Lan Ha Bay Cruise 3D2N
Yes. While many boats circle the central core of Halong Bay, this itinerary sails deeper into Lan Ha Bay, a quieter, more sheltered area with fewer ships and cleaner swimming spots. If you want iconic scenery plus calm waters and fewer crowds, Stellar of the Seas Lan Ha Bay Cruise 3D2N is one of the best choices among Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay cruises.
Absolutely. With spacious balcony suites, a heated pool, spa, wine & cigar cellar and romantic dinners under the stars, it’s perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries or “just because” celebrations. ViettrendTour can arrange surprise touches—flowers, cakes, private toasts—and connect this cruise into a longer luxury Vietnam holiday package for a complete romantic journey from north to south.
Yes, seamlessly. Many travelers pair Stellar of the Seas Lan Ha Bay Cruise 3D2N with our curated Sapa Tours, Ninh Binh Tours or a multi-day Vietnam tour package covering Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. ViettrendTour handles all logistics—private transfers, hotels, domestic flights—so your trip feels like one fluid story, not separate bookings.
Pack light, breathable clothing, a swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen and a light jacket (for breezy evenings). Comfortable shoes or sandals are recommended for Viet Hai Village cycling, and a small daypack for kayaking and cave visits. Most importantly, bring a reusable water bottle in line with bay regulations and ViettrendTour’s sustainable travel values.
The most popular months are March–May and September–November, when temperatures are pleasant and skies often clear. Summer brings warmer seas and a tropical feel but can include brief showers. If you’re planning a wider Vietnam itinerary across different regions, ViettrendTour can help balance weather in North Vietnam, Central Vietnam and South Vietnam so your cruise fits perfectly into the bigger picture.
It’s ideal for both. Families love the spacious cabins, pool, mini golf and gentle activities like kayaking, bamboo boating and cycling. Teens enjoy the feeling of being on a “super yacht,” while parents can relax knowing everything is organized. For full family itineraries, we often weave this cruise into Vietnam family tour packages with kid-friendly activities in Hanoi, Da Nang and Phu Quoc.
Yes. The culinary team on Stellar of the Seas can craft vegetarian, vegan or other special menus with advance notice. When you book through ViettrendTour, just share your dietary needs; we’ll coordinate them with the cruise in advance and, if you’re on a longer Vietnam trip package, we’ll also brief your hotels and local restaurants where possible.
Most guests start from hotels in Hanoi. You can join the cruise’s shared limousine service or book a ViettrendTour luxury private transfer from Hanoi to Tuan Chau Marina and back to fit your wider itinerary. If you’re coming directly from Ninh Binh or continuing onward to Sapa, we can arrange tailored point-to-point transfers using our dedicated services, so you never have to double back through the city.
