From Hanoi to Sapa – Journey into the Heart of the Mountains

6:30 AM - 7:00 AM: Departure from Hanoi
Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Board a comfortable bus and set off on the scenic journey towards Sapa, passing through the stunning mountain landscapes of the northwest. The route offers sweeping views of terraced fields shimmering in the sunlight or veiled in mist—setting the stage for your unforgettable exploration of Vietnam's natural beauty.

12:30 PM - 1:00 PM: Arrival in Sapa
Arrive in Sapa Town, known for its cool climate and the colorful ethnic minorities who call it home. The local Hmong, Dzao, and Tay people fill the streets in vibrant traditional costumes. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel, where you’ll enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and an introduction to your itinerary.

2:30 PM: Cat Cat Village Trek
In the afternoon, set out on a 3.5 km trek to Cat Cat Village, a beautiful Black Hmong settlement nestled at the foot of the majestic Fansipan Peak. Follow your guide through the village, learning about the daily life and culture of the locals. Continue to the valley floor where you’ll be rewarded with views of a cascading waterfall, once harnessed by the French for a hydraulic power station. After snapping some photos, trek back uphill to meet your bus for a return to Sapa Town.

5:00 PM: Return to Sapa Town
Enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel restaurant and relax after your first day of exploration. Overnight in Sapa (accommodation at May Hotel/ Panorama Hotel/ Vista Hotel).

Trekking through Muong Hoa Valley – Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Ta Van

7:00 AM - 7:45 AM: Breakfast and Prep for Trekking
Fuel up with a hearty breakfast before setting out for a full day of trekking through the stunning Muong Hoa Valley, known for its spectacular terraced rice fields.

9:00 AM: Start Trekking to Y Linh Ho
Begin your trek from Sapa to Y Linh Ho, a village inhabited by the Hmong people. The journey offers ample opportunities to take photos of the century-old rice terraces and enjoy the serenity of the valley. From Y Linh Ho, follow narrow trails that wind through the valley toward the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai.

12:00 PM: Lunch in Lao Chai Village
Stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your trek to the Dzay village of Ta Van.

2:30 PM: Arrive at Ta Van and Homestay
In the late afternoon, reach Ta Van Village, home to the Dzay ethnic group. Experience a traditional homestay with a local family, where you’ll learn about their customs, architecture, and way of life. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner with your hosts, providing you with a true taste of local hospitality.

Exploring Dzang Ta Chai and Heading to Ha Giang

6:30 AM: Wake Up in Ta Van
After a peaceful night in the village, enjoy the early morning village atmosphere before having breakfast with your host family.

9:00 AM: Trek to Dzang Ta Chai
Begin your trek to Dzang Ta Chai, where you’ll meet the Red Dzao people and experience their unique way of life. As you trek through the stunning landscape, you’ll come across a beautiful waterfall—perfect for photos.

12:00 PM: Lunch and Return to Sapa
After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, return to Sapa Town by bus. Take in the last views of the lush green valleys and take a few more photos of the stunning scenery.

2:30 PM: Free Time in Sapa Town
Spend some free time exploring the town of Sapa, enjoying local cafes, or shopping for handmade crafts before preparing for your overnight journey to Ha Giang.

7:00 PM: Sleeping Bus to Ha Giang
In the evening, board the comfortable sleeper bus bound for Ha Giang. Relax as you drive through the night, ready for the next part of your adventure.

Ha Giang – The Road of Happiness and Du Gia Village

3:00 AM - 3:30 AM: Arrive in Ha Giang
Arrive in Ha Giang early in the morning and rest in the dormitory room provided by your guide until breakfast.

8:00 AM: Breakfast and Departure
After breakfast, meet your guide and prepare for a scenic drive through the heart of Ha Giang. Set off on the famed “Road of Happiness,” a winding route that will take you to the Quan Ba mountain pass and the picturesque Heaven’s Gate.

12:00 PM: Lunch in Tam Son
Stop for lunch in the charming town of Tam Son, located amidst spectacular mountains.

2:00 PM: Arrive in Du Gia Village
Continue your journey through the rugged terrain until you reach the tranquil village of Du Gia. Here, you’ll stay with a local ethnic minority family in a traditional homestay. Enjoy a warm dinner prepared by your hosts, and experience the simple, beautiful life of the mountains.

Ha Giang Loop – Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng, and Dong Van

7:00 AM: Breakfast and Departure
After a hearty breakfast with your hosts, say goodbye and continue your journey through one of the most breathtaking regions of Vietnam.

9:00 AM: Meo Vac and Ma Pi Leng Pass
Head north to the town of Meo Vac for lunch, then proceed to the dramatic Ma Pi Leng mountain pass, where towering cliffs and lush valleys await you. The views here are some of the most spectacular in Vietnam.

1:00 PM: Lung Cu Flag Tower
If time allows, venture to Lung Cu, the northernmost point of Vietnam, where you can climb the Lung Cu Flag Tower for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

3:00 PM: Return to Dong Van
In the late afternoon, return to Dong Van, the northernmost town in Vietnam, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and rest for the night.

Day 6: Sa Phin, Yen Minh, and Return to Hanoi

8:00 AM: Breakfast and Departure
After breakfast, start your journey south, making a stop at the historic Sa Phin village, home to the century-old palace of the H’mong king, Vuong Chinh Duc.

12:00 PM: Lunch in Yen Minh
Continue your journey through the highlands, stopping in Yen Minh for lunch before continuing through the pine forests and terraced rice fields of the region.

4:30 PM: Return to Ha Giang and Board Limousine Bus
Arrive in Ha Giang City and board a Limousine van for your return trip to Hanoi. Relax as you drive through the evening, arriving in Hanoi’s Old Quarter around 10:30 PM.
